Habitat

The Cornhusker Chapter has been actively involved in habitat work since 1987.  Since that time we have provided support for over 1.5 million dollars spent on over 250,000 acres of habitat establishment or improvement.   Some of the current habitat projects we are or have been involved with are the Helmuth Marsh wildlife area, Meadowlark Lake Recreation Area, Jack Sinn and Little Salt Creek WMA and Lake Wanahoo Recreation Area.     In addition, we provide partial funding for a Pheasant Biologist on the Game And Parks staff.   Our Chapter also distributes free Food Plot seed to our PF annual banquet attendees for habitat improvement on their property.   If you are interested in establishing or improving habitat for pheasants on your property please contact us. We can provide cost share dollars and contact one of the biologists to assist you.
